About Me
My name is Matthew McFadden and I have just completed my degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Animal Behavior at Auburn University. I grew up in Huntsville Alabama with my two dogs, saltwater fish tank, bearded dragon, and two horses. Needless to say, I grew up getting pretty attached to all different types of animals. I remember when I was about ten years old, my sister started horseback riding, and I would always go to the barn with her after school. Originally I was bored and had nothing to do, but as I started going more often I just started going out to the pastures to watch and interact with the various dogs, horses, and donkeys. I grew incredibly attached to many of them over the years, and started to become curious about wildlife conservation. Over the years I started getting more and more comfortable around animals, and started getting more active in my community by volunteering at my local shelter. That snowball effect has led me down the path I follow today. At the moment, my primary goal is to find opportunities to work with endangered species, with a specific interest in eco-tourism.
On a more personal note, my hobbies include practicing martial arts, playing video games, and making music with whatever instrument I can get my hands on. I love comic books and most of the superhero movies made from them. I love to help people whenever I can, whether that means assisting them with whatever task they need done, or just talking them through a tough situation. Whatever the problem is, I can guarantee that I will help to whatever extent I can and beyond.
